WHAT THEY LOST: The knowledge of his connection of Noelle and Silky. He will still know that they are part of the same soul to each other, but he will forget that he is also part of that soul. He will still remember that he was assigned with training Noelle to be an angel, but will not remember how her becoming an angel affects him.
PERSONALITY:
Michael likes to appear calm and in control, but this is really not always the case. He puts a lot of effort into his public persona, but in private can get easily flustered and irritated. This is probably due to his serious manner, treating his goals like an end all or be all. He's strict and by the book, and is rather rigid, though at the same time he is also easy going and can be pushed into situations he normally wouldn't involve himself in.
While it is easy if you're close to him to manipulate him, it's also hard to get him to change his mind. He can be extremely one minded when it comes to things he considers 'the right way to do'. Veering off is unacceptable, and changing rules or anything else is also unacceptable. Bending them is highly frowned on. He can also be very forceful when trying to get results he favors. Even going so far as to manipulate everyone around him and being quite harsh.
Despite his small mean streak he does mean well. He doesn’t like to hurt people and really does wish for people to be happy and to protect them. He may push a person hard, but he pushes himself hard as well, and when he admits he did something wrong he takes it the hardest himself.
He has a hard time in saying no a lot of the time. Even situations that embarrass him he can't manage an out and out no. For example at one time he was trying to check up on Noelle posing as a census taker, which was Raphael’s idea and not his. He did it anything because he was pushed into it. While over Noelle’s family noticed he had all A's on his tests and homework and ask him to tutor Noelle who is at risk of failing. This is not something he wants to do, but since everyone won't let him say no he ends up doing it anyway.
He is soft spoken only letting himself have outbursts when the matter really bothers him, and usually then only to Raphael. The matters that affect him the most are either private things which embarrass him or rule breaking. He gets the most frustrated when things go out of his scope of planning, or in a direction that he doesn’t like. When he loses control is the time when he's the most flustered.
In the beginning of the series he's very calm, and this isn't a forced act. He's patient and helpful and nurturing, though as time progresses he becomes more and more exasperated (who wouldn't dealing with Noelle for almost half a year?). By the end he's much higher strung and forced when trying to fulfill his role as Noelle’s instructor.
THIRD-PERSON WRITING SAMPLE:
"You're too much," said Michael, in an embarrassed tone. His eyes were closed and his face was red. He was expecting more teasing from Raphael, but no words came. That was a little odd, the man liked to go on whenever he had a chance like this.
He slowly opened his eyes to a very unexpected view. It was a large lavish room, one he had never seen before. This was a very odd situation, seeing as he should currently be in Heaven at the Angel Academy. Was this a joke? Did Raphael take them somewhere else to tease him more? This wasn't funny, this was very not funny!
"Raphael sama! Stop playing jokes, if what you said is true, I really should be going and...," yet, he got the feeling this wasn't a joke, this wasn't Raphael's doing.
He frowned looking about the room, first going to the windows to peer out, and then inspecting the furniture. Worry slowly seeped in, as the unavoidable conclusion came.
He was somewhere unknown.
This was not the Human World, the Monster World, nor Heaven. Where was he!? He suppressed his urge to scream, and instead took a deep breath trying to calm himself.
"It's okay Michael, breath, just... breath. There's a reasonable explanation for this, it's probably just some sort of mishap, or an accident," he started to laugh a little nervously. "Or, this could just be a dream. Yes, a dream, this sort of thing is impossible...."
He controlled his breathing forcing himself into a state of calm. A calm person could do a lot more than a panicked one. First thing to do of course, would be to find someone, or someones, who could explain this. After all there should be some locals, right?
FIRST-PERSON WRITING SAMPLE:
This isn't Heaven, this isn't the Monster world, this isn't the Human world... where is this? It's impossible! Deep breaths, Michael, take deep breaths.... This should be Heaven, I should be in Heaven right now, not... some place like this.
If I could only find someone to talk to.
Raphael sama!! If I find out this is a joke I'm going to be really mad! Did you hear me! This is so frustrating.
