Saturday some friends and I attended a Regency-themed event: Archery and Jane Austen, hosted by the Wylie Recreation Center. It's unusual that a city puts on a costume-friendly event like this, so we had to take advantage of it! Since the main activity was archery, I assumed it would be an outdoor event. Thank you for the lovely compliments and getting the video of me. I still need to get pictures of my dress...I meant to on Saturday but had so much fun that I completely forgot.

Your spencer came out nicely, and the shot bonnet was very cool in the sunlight.

I was one of the coordinators of the event put on by the library and rec center. We still look back on that event with fondness. Sadly, it had rained in Wylie that week, and the archery instructor felt it was too muddy to hold the event outdoors.

We had such a great time that day! And we were perfectly happy to be inside and dry, not outside contending with soggy ground. I only mentioned the weather to explain why I'd spent so much time sewing up what amounted to Regency-era winter coats/jackets. :)

I hope you'll consider organizing something similar again once Covid is a thing of the past. Our entire group is going a little stir crazy without our costumed meetups!
