i'm just being silly. there are, however, a lot of words that used to be hyphenated which aren't anymore, such as makeup. i simply like hyphens, no idea why. my favorite neoliberal, heterosexual woman's last name is leutheuser-schnarrenberger. what's gonna happen in the next generation when 2 people who both have hyphenated last names get married? will their kids bear a last name like johnson-jackson-higginbotham-wisznewski?
