my 401K is in my backpack

I just purchased a really cool backpack for future backpacking trips and as an additional piece of luggage. Hooray! I feel guilty for getting such joy out of being a consumer, but I have been wanting a backpack for so long and it makes me really happy to finally have one. Yay! I'm glad you found one you liked. You totally deserved a little "irresponsible" spending. Are you going to bring it home with you when you visit?

Absolutely, that's part of why I bought it. I am replacing my luggage one piece at a time. The guy who sold it to me was really cute (in the behavior way), like he was trying to make clear to me where the backpack has to rest on your hips without making me feel like he was molesting me. It was funny. I wanted to tease him about it but couldn't think fast enough. I still have to figure out a good way to deal with the fact that people don't realize I'm not a native speaker. I totally lack backpacking jargon in German, so he kind of looked at me strangely a couple times. Or maybe not, I'm just being self-conscious about not being able to say what I want to.
