Well, I need to do a better job of keeping track of your blog* anyway, whether it's on OG LJ or its most successful evolutionary fork to date. Still, it is an end of an era, and I shall mark it solemnly.

*What does one call a Dreamwidth blog, anyway? Ones blog on Livejournal has always been, well, a Livelournal, "my LJ," but what is a Dreamwidth blog? My DW?

That's an excellent description. I salute your observational skill. And I share a bit of sorrowful solemnity about this. I'd thought I'd only feel the irritation I've felt for a couple of years now, so the sorrow was a bit of a surprise.

As far as I can tell, people simply refer to their journals. It's certainly what I've done. I definitely wouldn't call it my DW, because people would start asking just which Doctor I'd claimed. Heh.

(Also, thanks for even occasionally checking in on me. I'm not a very steady friend, so I don't blame anyone for only dropping by occasionally.

Yep. Evolution is a process that affects institutions as much as it affects other living beings.* And sometimes that can be very sad. That's how I feel now.

*This isn't to be confused with the Citizens United nonsense, however. Heh.
