Heh.. the significant people in life really do seem to cut into the self-actualization. I felt that was a fantastic way to put it. This is the reason I 1.) don't let myself life people, or 2.) am not allowing myself to go through a process of self-actualization. I'm not really sure which one it is... and that's kind of sick and sad cuz they're polar opposites. At least you can admit it to yourself. :-P

I wish you had been there for the marathon too. It was really good times.

my dearest allie! i just want to say that, even though i am super late in reading all of them, i have immensely enjoyed your recent long, contemplative entries - even if you think they're "embarrasing," i think they're wonderful. and i, too, am very proud of boston, and good for you for articulating it because i always think that i should write it down to confirm it but never do. i feel the same as you in that finding a sense of home has always been a big deal for me.. to truly consider boston my home is a big, big deal, and since part of my heart will always belong here, it will break a little whenever i leave it, which i know i will have to do at some point. i love you darlin. <3 <3
