Tonight I went to the Nine Inch Nails concert with Sam, and I can honestly say I had an awesome time. I am glad I was able to go with her. Its lovely to be able to spend quality time with a friend doing something that they enjoy. It makes Allie happy. Even though I'm not the diehard NIN fan, it was still a good experience, and I am starting to grow ( Read more... )

I hope when I leave, the things I love don't fade away.

People, however, do fade, and will continually fade throughout life. I kind of wish sometimes that I could keep all of my favorite people in a box and open the box and talk to them whenever I needed them/wanted to. But I know in four years I won't talk to half of them...and I probably will completely forget about even knowing them. It's a mildly frightening thought but I think a necessary aspect of life.

Existentialism isn't so far off when it says we are alone and individual...but there's more to it than that...it isn't a bad thing or a terrifying thing or a lonely thing, it's just an aspect of life and it's almost beautiful in a way, that life is like a revolving door from which people frequently enter and exit.
