Fremont, California. A city determined to be the Unplanning Capital of the World. A place where ugly fucking condominiums that no one wants to buy can be summoned immediately like a fucking two mana point interrupt, and hobby shops are bulldozed after years long court battles for no discernible purpose. I see this as a good thing. It's 5 miles from the nearest BART station, traffic already blows in Fremont, I'd hate to see it get any worse. Plus Fremont sucks and doesn't deserve a stadium. Just modernise Oakland, that's the cheapest route.

Oakland's already said they don't want any new stadiums ever, and the site in Fremont was going to include its own BART station in the Warm Springs iteration. Mostly this just comes down to the fact that it wasn't 100 acres of single family ugly housing with a fucking Claim Jumper attached to it.

I didn't say new, I said refurbished. Just take the old one and modernise it.

Didn't know about bart, from the excerpts you posted it seemed like they weren't going to extend it at all.

And if you hate the way Fremont looks you should never, under any circumstances, EVER go to the east coast. It's literally big box stores and copy cat development as far as the eye can see. But you should be used to that up in Sacto.
