Vent - FedEx you fail me again!
Today is shaping up to be a crappy day and I haven't even gotten to giving the cats their second ringworm bath.
Day starts with heel pain, followed relatively closely by being stabbed in the calf by a stick/log wielded by my Dog (Broke the skin a little).
Went home for lunch to feed cats found they really hadn't eaten much of breakfast (equates to a wasted trip and 2 wasted cans of cat food) also found Door tag from FedEx.
Slips from FedEx typically have a time that I can go down to the shipping facility and pick up my package myself, this one did not I called FedEx to find out why (were they going to try delivery later today?) find out no I will not be getting my package till tomorrow (and only if I sign their little form and leave it on my front door) because delivery person is contracted from another company and goes home immediately after route not back to the shipping facility. I am pissed at this as I pre-ordered these items sometime back and was very excited to be receiving them today (I've been checking the shipping status for days).
I'm not pissed about them not being able to deliver the items because they need to be signed but the fact that I can't go down and pick them up myself. I want my stuff!
If I had known they needed signature and that I would not be able to pick up my package I would have tried to contact them ahead of time to tell them to wave it or see if they could change delivery to my work address that way I could sign for it since I know no one is home during delivery time.
After FedEx mis-delivering my last package I should really consider not using FedEx anymore unless I have my stuff delivered at work (The delivery guys who regularly deliver to the office are at least competent and friendly)
On top of all this I get a call from S (one of sisters Brides maids I go to the gym with) saying she got an email saying our membership payment was late which shouldn't be possible as it should automatically charge to her brothers credit card (we have a family plan with S's brother) and that we owed $145 for 3 people. Our membership is only supposed to be $33 per person so I have no clue where the gym pulled that number and I am very tempted to tell the gym to screw it because I don't need this crap right now.
Also S wants to work out tonight and between having to wash the cats (I was able to con sister into coming over after work to assist), having a headache and having to deal with that working out the accounting problem with the gym I am already in no humor for adding anything else to my list of things to do to night. As it is I did not finish the tasks I had wanted to at work today.
As it stands if I had my way I would already be at home curled up under a blanket waiting for the day to be over because its just one of those days where I should not have left the house
