::Hangs head in shame because I actually did think of THE Time Warp at first::

Legend of the Seeker premieres November 1st & 2nd. Watch it. It is sure to be cheesy greatness. www.legendoftheseeker.com

*points* Ha!

Ahem... I know, the husband has it copying for me just in case we get busy and forget. I really hope it doesn't suck too badly. I still think Richard looks a little too young, and nowhere near rugged enough, but we'll see how it goes.

Just watched a half-hour behind-the-scenes and preview of the first 10 minutes of the pilot episode, and it actually looks really good! Nowhere near Xena-level cheesiness, more like near-cinema awesomeness. We'll see how it goes, but I can't wait for next Saturday!!!

If by the time you read this you've already watched the Seeker premiere you can ignore all this.

Appearantly you can watch the first 30 minutes of the Seeker on iTunes. Based on what I've read about it in my LJ group, I must give fair warning - hope for the best, but prepare for mediocrity. Here is what one person said after watching it:

Zedd and Richard aren't even close. Zedd is a crazy old coot that talks to birds as far as richard is concerned.
Richard already knows what Kahlan is.
The seeker is no longer a post, it's some kind of superhero that a prophecy foretold would come.
Chase isn't even a boundary warden.
Kahlan brought the book of counted shadows.
Shar... well I wouldn't have minded it being cut, but apparently the whisps are nothing but keys to walking through the boundary. Oh and wizard finders. Yes, they're wizard radars.
Zedd was apparently sent away to train the seeker.

Hopefully it'll still be good, but after reading this I no longer expect it to follow the book at all.
