I'm poor council on death, so I won't try, but I can say with some certainty, I know how it feels. *hugs* Old Caz had his sixth or seventh heart attack at home, at 4am. This one took him down.
There's not much to council. I'm dealing with it in small spurts, when I can stand to (hence- the bathroom, lol). It's just.... he was supposed to be like my dad and live forever.
Oh, I got the bottlecaps, btw. I'll try to get started on those here in the next few days. Any colors I shouldn't use? (not that I have that many to choose from, but still, best to cover my ass, right? :) )
Yeah, mine has been infinitely easier to deal with by the grand coincidence that my two best friends (J and S, you met them at con last year) are in town. Nothing quite like a bit of wild insanity to make chaos and entropy seem less unfair or unreasonable.
And ooh, glad you got 'em finally! I leave all artistic decisions to you, though I would personally lean towards more neutral rings (except maybe on the dragon, it's very minimal to begin with). Ass covered. ;)
Well, the black/white and red I was thinking silver mainly, with a row of red to match. The dragon will probably be the same, only with a row of yellow, since it matches the "gold"ish color of the dragon pretty nicely. The bright yellow-green one, on the other hand..... I haven't figured out yet. I may do all silver on that one, OR, find a complimentary color and go with that. We'll see. It depends on how the colors look up against it. :)
Sudden is harder to deal with because you have no time to say goodbye. Losing someone to ill health gives you time to deal with the fact that they will be gone, they will not suffer anymore, and the closure comes sooner. The hurt is still there of course, but it doesn't hit the heart and mind like a ton of bricks.
Guess it depends on how you say goodbye. I've never been one much to say goodbye ahead of time, while they are still here. At least when it comes to people. There are usually plenty of others there to do that, so I can say my silent goodbyes later, when I'm ready, and I know they'll hear. *shrugs* to each his own, right? :)
