So, in conclusion: canned ingredients are not as good as fresh ones. No surprise. The yams were not bad, but, sadly, the green beans are disappointing. Canned green beans just have a very distinct flavor that overpower the other flavors which are much more delicate. Ah, well. It's still edible

- Do you use Alton Brown's brining recipe? Because the recipe you described sounds very similar to the one we use, which we got from Alton :)

- It's a good possibility now that I think about it. When I looked it up ages ago I wouldn't have known who that was, but now knowing what he looks like and my vague recolections of the video, I think it might be him!

- I know you just said you don't have internet, but have you been on tumblr? This may be slightly creepy, but I have thoughts about you and your artwork at least every other month or so, and how I think you could make oodles of money from your talent if people knew how awesome you were and could commission you. So, yeah, a little weird, but WITH GOOD INTENTIONS I SWEAR. And tumblr is someplace people post a lot of art so it was a thought.
