I've got the drought blues

It looks like trying to grow a vegetable garden in a drought year wasn't a very good idea.  It started so beautifully this spring, but I can't keep it green with the water rationing.   About the only things in the yard that are doing well are the oleanders and the crab grass, which apparently don't  need water.

Drought stress and fluctuation in moisture. Also a lack of calcium in the soil. But with the drought it probably is that it is getting too dry between waterings.

Yes, lack of calcium.

I'm sad to hear your garden's drying out. Are you mulching it? That will help it retain moisture.

I can put peat on it again. There really aren't grass clippings. It's all crab grass seeds.

Should I put on bone meal for calcium?
