Crude Prophecy

Crude Prophecy's the name of the new scanslation group consisting of only TWO people, me and smilbe. XD Indeed, this is sort of sudden, not to mention risky, but who cares. At least there isn't money put on the stake here. It'll be fun, imo, since it'll be just the two of us, so hpefully less stress over keeping track of other staff members.

Hey, that's pretty cool! I would help if I were anywhere near a responsible person at all; but I think I'd do more harm than good XD;; Sad really...

Maybe you could start out with a basic webpage first, or use someone else's IRC channel until you can build up a fanbase. That way you can also have potential help with your own webpage and channel. In my opinion--webpage wise--it's not what the page looks like, more like the quality of translation. Keep that in mind? At least until you can find a way to make it all pretty & updated and stuff ^_^;;

Anyway, hope you guys figure it all out. I'm looking forward to what you guys will do. Sounds fun ^_^

LOL! XD It'd be awesome if you can help us, though. But like you said, we need someone who we not only are friends with, but someone we can trust to get things done. I'd rather not pressure anyone, even if they don't have it all done (I mean, both smilbe and I'd be busy with school once school starts anyway, so releases'll be slow) but I'd like to know that the work ARE going to be done at some point. It's too bad you can't help with either the website or irc chan (especilaly IRC, we need someone to create our channel) but oh well. Both smilbe and I were thinking of just using something really really simple for the webpage for now (hey, we haven't even released anything yet), and irc, we're hoping to have a friend from our old group to help out and distro through their chan (#ctg on irchighway). Thanks for the suggestion though.

We won't be able to have any http downloads when we release (smilbe's server woudln't be able to take it) but I'm sure a private http link for the close friends is possible. ^.~

You forgot to add that my brother also has the potential of discovering. >DDDD I also mentioned before, if you can recruit another close friend to help you with translating yaoi/shounen-ai, I really wouldn't mind at all. I am absolutely certain that my mom will be doing random checks on me when school starts (to see if I'm studying = =), so I wouldn't get in too much trouble if I was caught translating shoujo. :3

Bwahah, I'll become the dictator of Crude Prophecy. >DDD J/K. Put too much trust in me and you'll find characters having very generic (not to mention incorrect) names like "Sam" or "Tom." >DDDD

BTW, Uploaded manga and two songs for you. Go check! (I'm holding off princess princess volumes 2-3 now b/c I want to make sure you like the series)

unfortunately the only person I know who can translate Japanese, she's also around 24 now, got a job, and completely obsessed with RO. The likelihood of me getting her to help is little to nil. :\ But i guess it's worth a shot. I'll see if I can get her to help on RO sometimes. We WERE going to do this old series that she really liked, actually, and she even had the scans and half of the first chap's trans done. But we never did get anywhere. ^^;;;

Downloading the manga and songs right now. Unfortunately mom needs the car today, so I woudln't be able to head to the bookstore until late in the afternoon, but oh well gives me time to look through teh scans and start some prelim cleaning.
