I have got my paws on West End Games' DC Universe RP system, which is groovy and uses the same dicing system as Star Wars D6. There is also an example adventure, where you take the role of an example character, and play through a short scenario, Choose Your Own Adventure style.

It is crack.

So, people. >:3

Hahahaha TELEVISION EH.

"What a life. Days as Tim Drake, nights as Robin. This double life of yours takes its toll after a while. This is actually the first chance you have had to just sit and watch some TV in a long time. You watch the TV with a dull gleam in your eye ((what the fuck, is he watching REALLY BORING PORN?)). The boredom and inactivity are taking their toll. Growing weaker... eyes closing... strength fading... must resist..."

At this point, we must roll Willpower to not fall asleep like a n00b.
Successes are 3 - 6, with a wild die causing critical failure on a 1 or critical success and reroll on a 6.

Kai: `roll 3d6
GameServ: Kai rolled 3d6: 1 4 1 (Total: 6)
Kai: `1d6
Kai: Wait no
Kai: `roll 1d6
GameServ: Kai rolled 1d6: 5 (Total: 5)

Well shit, only 2 successes. This takes us to... (bold added by me, because OH MY GOD.)

"Zzzzzzz... sleep is good. School all day, Robin all night. Tim never sleeps. Except tonight. Zzzzzz.
When you wake up, Bruce tells you all about the wild time you missed. Try the adventure again, ( ... )

I've poked at Marvel Super Heroes (look at the site, you can download it from there!), but that's about it for early super-hero games.

Have you ever looked at Mutants and Masterminds, for a comparison of a more modern system?

I don't care? :D That's not the point of this post, but. Having played just about every variety of the Marvel RP that has come out, yes even the card one, and some others, I'm not actually really looking for ANOTHER superhero RP system. I bought this because the sourcebooks provide good info on the DC world, as a setting, and the characters within it, including the non-heroes. Like, you know, Gotham and the places in it. Can we see why I might be interested in that?

Thanks anyway :3

"All right! Time to go get into the mix. There is still one decision left to make. Do you cruise the 'burbs looking for trouble close to home, or do you punch it up a notch and patrol Gpham? The suburbs have less crme, so there is less chance of bumping into anyone who truly needs a beating. But the suburban crimes are usually better planned, so any crime you do find is a little more challenging. The city offers tons of crime, but it's all straightforward. You know, a crook pulls a gun and says, 'Your money or your life!' type of crime. A guy actually said that one when you were on patrol with Batman. You lauged out loud, and he gave you the glare. You hate it when he glares. ((Ahahaha what the crack.)) Anyway, the age-old question beckons. Do you want quality or quantity?"

1. Stick to the suburbs, or
2. Patrol Gotham!

I totally typoes Gotham in there and didn't notice, ahaha. Laughing too hard X3

"You're cruising around in the Redbird. The suburbs are nice. The police scanner picks up a broadcast from Shotgun, toughest officer on the local force. 'Miserable city wackos! Now the former district attorney wants to fry the whole city. I wouldn't mind, but if that guy has nerve gas, it could hurt my county! ((So caring, Gotham cops.)) Get as many people out of town as possible. The National Guard is coming in to help. Shotgun out.' Well, that sounds interesting. Time to call in and find out what's going on.

There are a few people you can turn to for the lowdown on the situation. You can always call Bruce/ He knows everything, but he tends to send you where the least danger is ((ahahahAHAHA)). Then there's the Huntress, who has pretty good information and doesn't mind you being around when things get hazardous."

1. Call Bruce?
2. Call the Huntress??

Okay! My NATURAL inclinations were... pretty much the same as everyone else's in Basement, so um, let's go with the opposite!

Come on, not falling asleep while watching TV!

I will skip typing up the TV watching blurb again and get right to the meat!

GameServ: BC_Jenny rolled 3d6: 1 4 6 (Total: 11)
Kai: `roll 1d6
GameServ: BC_Jenny rolled 1d6: 4 (Total: 4)

Huzzah, 3 successes! This is enough to stay awake, which takes us to...

"The screen fades to static for a second. Then two all-too-familiar faces pop up on the screen... both on the same man. It's Two-Face! Just as he begins his rant, you leap off the couch, put a tape in the VCR, and begin recording the villain's speech."

Go Tim! I could never find a blank video tape that fast - oh wait, man, he better hope he's not recording over a wedding video or something :O Let's see what Two-Face has to say ( ... )

"Using the Redbird's computer, you pause the tape and zoom in close so you can get a good look at the scene. After careful examination, you notice two things. First, the missiles have a LexCorp logo on them. You also notice that there is a ship within sight of a window behind Two-Face. The ship's name is the Nancy-Ann."

1. Check on the missiles?
2. Search for infor on the Nancy-Ann?
