I was of a mind to make ginger-garlic chicken tonight. While I was grating the ginger, my hand slipped and I raked my thumb with the microplane. Ended up with five cuts that bled like a bastard. D:

I've done something similar grating cheese, but thankfully no blood was drawn. Hope your finger heals quickly.

They're shallow, so it shouldn't take long. They just looked terrible because I've always been a bleeder. A vampire's delight, me.

It's just a pain in the ass that I have to change the band-aids three or four times a day. Whenever they get wet, and considering in the normal course of a day involving cooking, cleaning, showering, hand-washing they will, I need new ones. Feels awfully wasteful.
