I wanna scream till the words dry out
Found this while tidying up, one possible way of continuing the NxS drabble...I think I was planning Sasuke wouldn't care at first, but Naruto's words keep nagging him and so he decides to seek him out. And when he finally finds him Naruto doesn't want to talk to him...oh the drama ^^''
"I'll be going then."
-"I thought you never give up?", Sasuke finally blurted out.
Naruto stopped in his tracks for a second, only to continue in his way out of the city after taking a deep breath.
"Was it all just big talk then?", the black haired sneered.
Seeing no response from the other, Sasuke, who had gotten very uneasy, decided to attack. Naruto, already anticipating it, dodged him easily and caught his old friend's fist, gripping it tightly.
"I never give up, that was and still is my ninja way. But in my current state I can't beat you."
Sasuke just stared at the blonde man.
"Yeah, even I can be realistic at times."
Sasuke wanted to ask him what was wrong, why he was behaving so out of character, but his pride didn't allow it.
[...]
"Don't give up."
-"Never planned to."
"Then fight me."
-"Don't want to."
The next words were whispered into Naruto's face.
"Scaredy cat."
-"Tch. Fuck y-"
