DO CHARACTERS STILL HAVE THEIR POWERS? ARE THERE CONSEQUENCES FOR VILLAINY? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE DIES? IS THERE A LANGUAGE BARRIER? WHAT IS THERE TO DO? EXPLORING...? THERE'S PREEXISTING STRUCTURES? ARE THERE ANIMALS OR OTHER PEOPLE AROUND? WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE? DO THEY HAVE TO GET EVERYTHING THEMSELVES? WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY? DO CHARACTERS STILL HAVE THEIR POWERS?Yes, very much so. Kaiere assumes that they will use these abilities for good while on her world; after all, they want what she's promised them. If they do start causing havoc, hurting people unjustifiably, or moreover acting against her goals, she will take action. Limiting powers is well within her grasp, along with various other punishments. Gods are known to be vindictive.
ARE THERE CONSEQUENCES FOR VILLAINY?Realistically speaking, characters can and will end up in violent situations, abilities or no, and Kaiere will definitely step in if she thinks things are getting out of hand. Please talk to the mods in advance if you think it might come to Kaiere's attention. If you'd rather it didn't come to her attention, that could potentially also be worked out - she is very busy, after all. Of course, keep in mind that other people might tattle on them regardless...
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE DIES?Kaiere will undoubtedly bring them back. But she's not a very empathetic goddess, and likely won't heal people unless there's some dire need. Even once they're alive again, they might still feel and be psychologically haunted by the circumstances of their death... And don't forget that if they were murdered, there could be consequences for the murderer as well.
IS THERE A LANGUAGE BARRIER?Everyone will arrive on Kaiere able to speak a common language. For simplicity's sake, this will be English. Any preexisting knowledge of other languages will remain with the character, but the only new language they will mystically know is English.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO?There is a lot to be done. There are some spare traces of previous attempts at sustaining civilized life, but they, obviously, didn't turn out well. While Kaiere will help to some extent, that still leaves things like food production, construction, exploration, administration and police, services industries, and so on. The sky is honestly the limit.
But please do keep in mind that if we don't have very many people working on getting food, everyone will go hungry; if there aren't very many people building houses, everyone will be cold and miserable. Think of early stage civilization here as a kind of co-op. Everyone must work on what needs to be done, not what they prefer to do, in order for life to be in any way comfortable. In that respect, it's most expedient for people to pick something to specialize in, whatever it is, and stay with that as a 'job'.
You as the player are not required to be experts on this kind of thing, as this is for fun in the end, but this game is in large part about creating a world. Not to mention, they're good opportunities for threads.
EXPLORING...?There is a simply enormous amount of exploring to be done! It's a very high priority, so it should likely be gotten to quickly. That said, please be extremely careful in regards to infomodding. The map is there for your convenience as players, not for your characters to mysteriously reproduce as soon as possible. They will probably be making their own version of a local map and move on from there, with their own kind of landmarks. In addition, keep in mind that an average modern person could walk about 35 miles per day, if traveling for ten hours; an extremely fit person could do 50 miles.
Feel free to write in some basic natural resources for them to find that are not marked on the map, such as clay, vegetables, wild game, and so on. Please do not have them find any man-made structures except those that are explicitly labeled, as those that appear are potential sources for plot.
THERE'S PREEXISTING STRUCTURES?Yes, actually, the remnants of previous attempts on Kaiere's part of settling this world. Please speak to a mod before having your character come across any of them, as some of them are dangerous and any of them could initiate a larger plot to play out if players so desire. On the other hand, characters are welcome to move in once any danger is cleared out, and a half-built castle could be extremely tempting...
ARE THERE ANIMALS OR OTHER PEOPLE AROUND?By now, some animals are present, as Kaiere's been at it for a while. Mostly, these are Earth animals, but if you want to have another creature show up that is from another series, go ahead. Whatever you want to have your character come across, you are free to NPC them.
WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE?I don't want to get too detail-oriented, so assume what common logic would tell you from looking at the map - plains have stronger winds and drier air, coasts are humid and have temperamental weather, etc. Write this in as frequently or infrequently as you like. Occasionally we can plan on having storms or otherwise bad weather days as everyone agrees on.
DO THEY HAVE TO GET EVERYTHING THEMSELVES?For the most part, yes, as that's why they're here. However, if they'd like some things that they simply can't produce any time soon, or if they hit hard straits, they can ask Kaiere and she might provide. Asking is not a guarantee that it will be given, though.
WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF TECHNOLOGY?Very, very rudimentary. If everyone en masse is greatly displeased with this, this might change in part, but there aren't any plans to have electricity on Kaiere any time soon. The best that might be accomplished would be something small, hand-held, and solar-powered. This does mean that there won't be a communicator-based 'network' type community for the foreseeable future.
