Proposing a Costume Con 25 Bus Trip

It has been proposed that we organize a CHARTERED BUS TRIP to Costume Con 25 in St. Louis, MO in 2007.

There are several perks to such a trip, including:

- more economical than flying

- avoiding all the wierd luggage/security argybargy at the airport, and potentially having our costumes manhandled, broken, or restricted altogether.

- no snakes

This sounds fun! It would of course depend on when in 2007 it is and how it factors in with my school, exams and placement.

I am definitely interested.

Also, have you heard anything about the CKCO Halloween dance this year? Are you planning on going this year?

Well Dawn, you certainly make some valid points, I would like to avoid flying with snakes at all costs.

I'm interested, however, being new at the school I don't want to be pissing off other people in my dept. by taking a long weekend the week after march break and the week before the good friday/easter monday long weekend.
It also looks like a very very long bus ride, about 14-15h.

All I have to say is "poop", that CC falls between two holidays and ask you:

When would the bus be leaving/returning? Ie - Friday night/sunday night?
Is this con worthy of such a long trip?

What are people doing for hotels? Is there a certain one everyone is booking at? Lol, and is there anyone that wants to share a room??

I thought the website had a specific hotel on it for people attending the convention. Are rooms there too expensive?

$95 a night, 1-4 people per room. Seems really decent to me!

@Dawn - I don't know yet, since I don't know my fall schedule or what I can bring costume wise. As much fun as a bus would be, I don't know yet if I can afford the extra time off (since I don't have a job yet, either).
