I know, I know, so I've dropped off the face of the planet, and then suddenly here I am all in your face with a reminder that Ad Astra is coming.

I like all these ideas alot. THe last one would be particularly interesting, but has the potential of turning into a scary story swap. LOL.

We've done wigs for a few years now I think we could give it a rest for this year. Everything else looks awsome tho. I'm going to try and work it in. :)

I would like to help still visions with the photography. It's a very good idea to have an area set up for hall costume pictures. How much would renting decent equipment (backdrops) cost? Or could we possibly make something ourselves?

Perhaps that is also where hall costumes could be judged on workmanship while the wandering judge may be able to hand out something to people for other aspects of cosplay.

I liked the way people/groups were able to sign up for 15 min time slots to use the photo area at AN. (as horrible as the lighting and backdrop were) I would not mind manning a photo area all day if we had enough people interested. Maybe they could even sign up ahead of time online?

This sounds like a very good idea. I agree we desperately need a better photo area at Ad Astra. Unfortunately it has never been a very high priority with the Ad Astra concom. There has been alot of lip service given to providing us space , but when the time comes it's been repeatedly downgraded or yanked out from under us. :(

Maybe we could set something up in conjunction with the Costumers Suite depending on the situation there, (last year it was privately funded by five of us), or perhaps we'll get allocated space by a member of concom with more integrity than those who have made promises in the past. -_-
