i love my roomies

So, there was an impromtu roommate dinner last night which was a lot of fun.  Kellie had just run the Boston half marathon, i made pork chops with these great potatoes, and Genevieve and Claudia had invited somebody over for pizza.  They were eating pizza and i had just finished my dinner so i sat down with them and ate some ice cream and talked.

Mmm all that food sounds so delicious. Especially homemade maple whipped cream. I am so glad to hear you are getting along so well with your roomies. I am just starting to really click with a couple of my co-workers and it's great!

i know it's weird that all i seem to talk about is food, but yeah, the homemade maple whipped cream was really good. It took her like 5 minutes to make.

It's so great that you're getting along with your co-workers. It relieves a lot of tension when you have people to talk to. How's the job going?

It definitely does relieve a lot of tension and makes going to work more fun. Work is going well. It's challenging with the paperwork and also thinking of stuff to do with my members but I've been able to have fun with it. Like this week we watched Edward Scissorhands and then we had a discussion on feeling isolated, different, rejected, etc. It was pretty good! Except I have this really difficult member who says he hated the movie and would rather talk about how he was abused as a child and how he is a 43 year old virgin... :/

And I am also so glad it's the holidays! Today we decorated the room for Halloween. I can't wait until Christmas, I have even more ideas for that. Halloween is a little hard because some of my members are really sensitive and don't like anything too scary. Scissorhands was even a little iffy for a couple of them. My supervisor wanted me to have them fingerpaint the door with red paint so it would look bloody but they were not into it haha.

How is school??

that's great to hear that you're having fun at work. Thinking up new things can get exhausting, but i'm sure it'll get easier. That difficult guy...seems like he needs a hug.

School is pretty good. I really like my classmates and the classes aren't awful. The projects are really hard, but i have to get used to that. Tomorrow i'm playing with brains. =D

so jealous. I kind of miss having a lot of roommates because it was always great when you could sit down and hang out.

don't be jealous! If you think about it, i'm kinda behind because i've never had roommates before. I'm where you were four years ago. If you miss it, you can come live here with me and i'll be you roommate. We'll have a GREAT time.
