I went in for my interview today. There were about twenty of us there, of whom only about half even got interviewed because they filled the positions on the spot and didn't even bother talking to anyone else once they'd decided. I wonder if any of you live in a universe where that isn't kind of bullshit, because I sure don't.

i hate you, what i see

That seriously is bullshit. I guess they thought they were trying to be nice to the other ten by not wasting your time, but...see icon.

Shows what sort of respect they have for the job if they think taking the first people who seem OK is the right hiring practice :/

Happened to me today. The interviewer told me once i'd gotten to the door that they had filled the position.

I hate job searching.

Ugh ugh UGH.

I mean, on the bright side (sort of), I think you dodged a bullet in a way, because any job that would hire people like that is pretty much guaranteed to have a terribly toxic and stress-laden working environment. I'll bet you they have a really high turnover rate. But ugh. I'm sorry. What a thing to do to your interviewees.

It's an icon I often wish to sic on people. So many of them seem to need it now and again.
