deep reflections

1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? Lost my performance-virginity. Went to college. And everything that goes along with that. Oh, and I gave blood.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I'm pretty sure I didn't make any. This year? Maybe to stop smoking. XD

3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No.

4. Did anyone close to you die? Yes.

5. What countries did you visit? Nowhere! I stayed here the entire time... I'd like to say I'll make up for it this year, but I really doubt that will happen.

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? A good, solid idea of what I'm majoring in. That'd be real good.

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? June 16, the day we flung off the chains that were Washington Township High School.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? See above.

9. What was your biggest failure? It sure wasn't Calc! I can't really think of a good one. Or a bad one depending on how you look at it.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Nah, beyond the usual goalie bruises, I was okay. Oh, and the lovely gash I got from falling off the stool in my dorm room.

11. What was the best thing you bought? Igby. This is Igby, I just bought him.

I will not disclose the brand because it's probably embarrassing.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Probably most people. I'm feeling generous. XD

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Scott's. Sometimes Jen's. And someone I will not mention because I'm not entirely sure if she reads this. XD

14. Where did most of your money go? ...All kinds of random shit. Textbooks and a chunk of my laptop were the biggest culprits. As in my money went to a chunk of the laptop's price; I did not purchase like... a keyboard and some chips.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Going to college. XD Then I stopped being excited. Oh, and playing the May Revel.

16. What song will always remind you of 2005? System of a Down - "BYOB" ..Actually, the whole 'Mezmerize' CD, but since BYOB was the first single, I pick that one.

17. Compared to this time last year, you are: I think... part of this question got lost in the jumble, but I think they are trying to ask me if I'm happier? Well. I'm so fucking moody it's hard to say, but let's be positive and say yes.

ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner. Yay crew?!

iii. richer or poorer? Poorer like whoa.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Something creative, especially this last half of the year... the first half is so hard to remember. >.< Ever since I picked engineering, I've been afraid the other half of my brain (can't remember if that's right or left) will shrivel up and die.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Less angsting.

20. How will you be spending Christmas? Same as ever.

21. What have you learned about yourself in 2005? I'm a cliche. XD

22. Did you fall in love in 2005? Nah.

23. How many one-night stands? About nine. ...Please.

24. What was your favorite TV program? Lost.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? You know, I don't. It's nice to be able to say that.

26. What was the best book you read? The DaVinci Code.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery? The Mars Volta. (yeah, I'm pretty sure they were this year.)

28. What did you want and get? Igby.

29. What did you want and not get? CJ.

30. What was your favorite film of this year? ...I am breaking my head trying to remember anything I saw before August and coming up completely empty. So I'm going to have to say RENT. But Red Eye was really good, too.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 18; I went to Ironmoto with Hels, Lari, and Toomey.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? I don't know that there's anything that would've improved it *that* much.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005? Fashion... concept...? Wright once told me how much it amused him to see me go from hardcore lacrosse to all ROTC-ed out (I really miss my Eisenhower jacket. ;_;) to typical Kels whatever-ness in the space of three days. Now my wardrobe is far less schizophrenic. But the percentage of it that is black had increased significantly. ...God, I'm feeling chatty tonight.

34. What kept you sane? Newports. XD

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Jonathan Rhys-Meyers with a healthy dose of Jake Gyllenhaal.

36. What political issue stirred you the most? I am not politically aware. At all. It's embarassing, really.

37. Who did you miss? You. That's right.

38. Who was the best new person you met? I have never met so many new people. It was kind of overwhelming.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005: If you value something, don't leave it in the communal refrigerator.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: It'll be you and me/ up in the trees/ and the forest will give us the answers

...XD
