So I'm reading Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy and I have once again stumbled across one of my absolute number one pet peeves to see in any writer's prose ever. Fortunately Sanderson doesn't do it too often but I've seen fanfic writers do it (Xil) too and AUGH:

Sure. You can use it that way informally (and a lot of people do), but technically speaking, it really is grammatically incorrect. XD

I realize this is a silly thing to be irritated about, given how fluid the English language is, but man, that particular juxtaposition just bugs me. @_@
