Who else is going to SF this weekend? Want to compare itineraries and see if ours intersect at all? Here's what I'm doing, so far (I think) -- all times approximate:
Sunday I'll be marching with The LGBT Community Center group. We're near the front of the parade. I'm hoping the 6 year old will be with me. I'm also hoping not to have to work a shift in the booth. Wish me luck on that.
Saturday is a bit of an unknown for me as well, with the added bonus of it being Field Day, and me wanting to hit the Presidio to geek.
Last year I was still at work when the TransMarch passed The Center.
If you're awake in the early morning, interested in getting out of bed, and willing to go to Ocean Beach (that's a lot of if's), the end of this week/start of the weekend is supposed to have a very low low tide. There's a chance for some neat tide pooling and that maybe bits of the caves under the Cliff House will be accessible.
Hey hey hey! I was hoping to see you. :-) Sounds like we might be staging near each other. Totally keeping my fingers crossed on the 6 year old AND you not working in the booth.
How well-attended was the TransMarch last year? Man, I bet your building would be a great place to take pics from.
Thanks for the tip on the tide pools; I reeeeeally suck at getting up early but that really sounds cool.
Keep my cell phone handy? Also, I've got you on my calendar for when you're here in town next month.
hey i tried to email you at your posted email but it bounced back. Anyway I'm going to be in SF friday afternoon and will be at the transmarch I'll def see you there unless you want to try and meet up when I'm in Santa Cruz on Thursday. Looking forward to seeing you and so many others from lj.
Hi! I'd still love to see you in Santa Cruz -- anything in particular you'd like to do or see? Replying to your email with my cell number now. No, really. :-)
The Lebanon/Grenada pin denotes my military war service era; one must be a war era vet to join the American Legion ("a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veterans organization"). People are surprised sometimes to find I'm a card-carrying Legionnaire, but my post is the queer black-sheep thorn in the mainstream Legion's side -- and I'm all about the queer vet visibility.
LOL, shucks, thanks. :-) I am infinite layers of complex though, that's for sure!
Oh, did I forget to mention the sheer joy of wearing my Legion cap (big "448" and a number of gay vet-related pins) around mainstream Legionnaries and vets? Muhahahaha. :-)

All day: wishing I could be there!
What is the Lebanon/Grenada pin for? I spent a week on Grenada for vacation in 2003.
