As a Brit, I'll make no comment on this 'celebration' ;-) But as for you story -- wonderful! You wrote this in one night and it's your first smut? You clearly have a natural talent!

You really kept Bones and Jim in character both through actions and dialogue -- you do their voices extremely well. The story flowed at a great pace and all I can say is I wish it hadn't finished so abruptly, as I at least wanted to read about Jim getting off too (yeah, I know, I'm greedy).

The other aspect I enjoyed was the light-hearted, droll humour of McCoy. The damn bugs still would not die off, making them the earth’s most persistent species of blood-sucking parasites. The ex-wife must be related to them. That made me laugh out loud!

Can I suggest you post this fic to this group too?

Re July 4th -- I've experienced the celebration while in the US and you're right, it's huge fun!

I'm aware some people find smut hard to write and it shows sometimes in stilted actions being methodically described. That absolutely wasn't the case here. I'm glad you didn't decide to 'cop out'. :-)

As for Othello, it is tragic, so crying is OK. :-)
