This entry is dedicated to anything I know that Kain is capable of, or is just an interesting fact that may come into play/be noticeable.
communication and surveillance » Noted several times through out canon, Fuery is Roy Mustang's technical expert. Fuery's job was originally his "hobby" that turned into being specialized in his field. Yes, he is a "highly trained officer" when it comes to this.
- Fuery is capable of lip-reading. While rarely seen, this is apparent in canon. I am chalking this down as being a part of his "training". As surveillance often means being able to hear what a person is saying from far away, it is likely the Amestrisian military did teach these "specialized officers" to do so.
- Fuery, as a tech expert, has an open minded thought process when it comes to the S.S. Thor. Headcanonly, he has been working with his radios and phones since he was a small child to go along with his "my hobby became my job" theme. This being said, Fuery had dove headfirst into everything about the communication and surveillance equipment aboard the ship.
- He is capable of setting up private "party" lines long distances. We have seen this in chapter 30-32 of the manga, and 18-19 of brotherhood. He appears to be able to do this with an ease as he eats while he does so. It's very likely he'll bring this into play on board the ship, as well as figure out a way to do so with the guides.
- Currently Fuery is learning binary code to get a better grasp of the equipment on the ship. Sadly, he actually really enjoys it and completely fascinated.
- Fuery is best known for gathering intelligence for Roy. While this is mostly associated with wires and radios, it is likely that it comes down to disguises as well. All things considered with the code name "KATE".

- Fuery is left handed, or at the very least in the panels he uses his left hand more dominantly.
- He's not a fan of drinking, for whatever reason. By headcanon, Mun gets the feeling it's because of personal issues in his early childhood. Nonetheless, he just doesn't care for it enough to give it a try.

As stated above, Fuery has undergone special training in his division. However, what sort of things the Amestrisian military makes those in the communication and surveillance department go through can only be "speculated". Beyond basic training, which is a given, we must come to our own view point. This will be filled out as the Mun researches more and puts together her own version of it for reference.

- ISR stands for "intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance". The first two Fuery are noted in capability of, making reconnaissance a high probability of being a part of his training.
