I spent the first couple of days of break bumming around the house in fleece pants, eating from dishes of candy that Mom left out, and watching ( Read more... )

Alex, darling, you know I'm around to protect you from scurvy during the winter months. That said, yeah, Satsuma mandarins would be nice.

Ridiculous Yale housing policies = good reason to move off campus and take the dog?

My BD class is actually talking about getting a dog for when we live in the BD house next year. If we can ever agree on the breed/name/age/size, expect to see me walking him around Yale next year.

You can protect him from scurvy, too. (:

I don't know how many clementines I've eaten over break--I lost count after the first day.

Oh Alex Kain. I too want a ridiculous holiday sweater. Preferably oversized and cardiganed.

I saw one in a thrift store today that was cardiganed and patterned with felt snowflakes, reindeer, and a cutout of Mickey Mouse. Since when did rodents come to represent the birth of Jesus Christ? Uhh... I hate it when holidays become corporatized.

I think I should be glad that I have never heard of Danity Kane.

My new year's resolution is to find one of those red light memory erasers from Men in Black and rid my mind of any knowledge of Danity Kane.

Was I misinformed when you told me you were Jewish?

Mom's Jewish. Dad's Catholic. Was raised Catholic even though Judaism is matrilineal. My family celebrates Christmas and recognizes Hanukkah, as evidenced by the photo below, which shows a menorah in my family's kitchen and a Christmas tree in the background. I live in the most ironic household ever.
