I found an interesting LJ meme a tindomerel so naturally I had to steal some.

How did you come to start your LJ?

I can't remember to be honest. I have a vague recollection of dead_damien trying to explain me what LJ is as opposed to DJ but that's about all. Most likely someone told me to sign up for it and then I did, because that's what has happened with every single social media site I've ended up on - someone's told me to join.

How did you find your first friends?

They were all people I knew in RL plus very soon some friends of those friends that I shared interests with.

Are those first friends still on your FL?

Most of them that are still active are, yes.

How long have you been on LJ?

Since 2004. Whoah ten years soon! D:

Do you have more friends or communities on your FL?

Friends.

Do you do a lot of friends cuts?

Nope, I don't have that many friends! :D Besides I'm so lazy at the upkeep that sometimes I realize I've someone on my flist who hasn't even updated in years.

What do you like in an LJ friend?

Ramblings. I love to read about stuff that people are passionate about, even if it's stuff I don't even have an idea about. My favourite people are those who are sincere and don't whine too much (occasional complaints are all well and ok but if they become all that someone's writing about it gets a bit mind numbing).

What do you dislike in an LJ friend?

Not knowing how to use a cut when it's needed, aforementioned non-stop whine, tumblr-esque aggression levels.

What would make you un-friend someone immediately?

Immediately? I have no idea. I suppose if they told me to un-friend them. I really am that lazy about cleaning my flist that even if one of my LJ friends turned out to be the worst person in the world I might actually keep following them in hopes that they'd revert back to normal.

Have you been caught up in a lot of LJ drama?

Some, but not a lot. I'm too boring for drama.

Do real-life friends and family members know you have a journal on LJ?

Yes they do and some of them follow this journal too.

Do you also have Facebook and if so, what do you prefer - LJ or FB?

LJ and FB are so different that I won't be making any comparisons. Both are handy for their own purposes.

What about Twitter?

I don't have a Twitter acco, far as I know. I suppose no one ever told me to get one. :D

Do you blog on any other sites?

Yup, I have a tumblr blog for lolita stuff and blogspot blogs for sagas, hobbies and my personal life.

How often do you check in on LJ?

Daily.

What do you rarely or never post about?

Religion.

Why don't you post about that?

In the beginning I thought I might want to blog about it - I even made a special friends group of the people who mentioned they'd be interested in reading that kind of stuff, but I'm afraid I haven't been entertaining them very much over the years! Religion turned out to be such a personal thing to me that I'd sooner post my underwear.

Come to think of it, I really have posted more about my underwear than religion.

Have you ever thought about deleting your journal?

Not really. I like the stuff here. Besides it serves as a personal archive of sorts where I collect all kinds of important information for future purposes. Not even kidding I even have uni essays here under private!

Have you ever changed your username?

Not for my main blog, no. I have changed another account's username to better fit in with my this year's NaNoWriMo project. You know, just in case someone reading the story thought to look up the supposed LJ username they would actually find the posts on relevant dates. Arrogant, I know.

Why did you choose your current username?

It's an old nickname given to me by a childhood friend.

If you're looking for new friends, how do you find them?

I don't look for new friends but I like to add interesting people. I tend to meet them mostly via fandoms, or they're friends of my friends. Or I might seriously love their art.

Are you taking new people on to your Friends List just now?

Huh? I guess? If I meet someone fun then sure, why not.

Finally, tell us the reasons why you keep an online journal.

I like to write.
