I just got done reading the possibly the four most depressing short stories ever

I remember reading Harrison Bergeron in spriging's class
and possibly the lottery? I know I read the lottery somewhere but i dont know if they were for her class

the other day for english i had to read this story about this pregnant lady who was standing at the edge of this water where her hubby had gone diving in and never came out and they searched for hours upon hours going deeper and deeper and there was NO sign of him and then one day one of the divers suddenly came up frantically and said how instead of getting colder as he went down the water started getting hotter and they realized there was magma and that it was underground nuclear testing
it was SO sad it gave me chills
