Just a little incident here at the "ranch" this morning that left me thoughtful for some reason.

I had those same thoughts when I watched "Winged Migration" and "March of the Penguins".
I solved the issue on a personal level with 2 solidly indoor cats and 2 or 3 outdoor birdfeeders with a birdbath.
Several years ago we built a large sunroom on the back of our home. Big sliding glass door like windows with screens. The cats watch the birds and the birds watch the cats and I watch over them all.
