My mom got a phone call today. From the husband of her best friend. Her best friend who's like an aunt to us. She's been fighting cancer for a while now, but they caught it so late, there was very little they could do

awww Katie I'm so sorry to hear about your mothers best friend :( It's so hard to go through that...but trust me, being there for her...talking to her, listening to her, telling your mom how much you love her...will give her so much strength and support. more than you know! <3

Thanks Lani ^^ I really should tell her I love her more often anyways, even though I'm sure I do it pretty often... Today was such a rough day for her too! She slipped and fell, and her knees aren't that good any more but now one's all swollen, and so she was just bummed by the time she got home and i surprised her by putting up the christmas lights on the tree and some decorations. I really think that made her feel a little better.

I think I'll keep track of this thing a little more often, it's made me feel a ton better just to write it all out. Plus I have to bug you and Davie more often too, since you'll both be graduating!
