More Persona 4
So, there's a little more Persona 4 news, there's a twenty minute trailer out now, in Japanese, looks just as awesome as Persona 3 did.
-Elizabeth's new design is very nice.
-The goofy glasses call the personae now, which is nicer than shooting yourself in the face, I suppose.
-The sort of reused models are not so nice (your main character stands like Junpei, another character stands like Akihiko, two of the female characters stand like Yukari), but hey, one of the theme's is supposed to be nostalgia, and it makes me nostalgic for Persona 3 I suppose.
-New weapons (fans, wrenches, golf clubs? AWESOME). I like that some of the weapons look to be household items sorta things, so you don't have to explain quite so fast, why your team of intrepid teens are running around with giant swords.
-Social Links are back (yay?)
-Looks very much like Persona 3 (as in there looks to be Shadows back, the cards look the same).
-Looks like TVs are important too, maybe a subtle critique of gaming nerds?
I know I'm talking about Persona 4 a lot, but I do this because Persona 3 is probably my favorite RPG, maybe tied with Chrono Trigger. It's a long game, but it's very episodic, has great characters, and incredibly good gameplay. I urge ANY RPG fan to buy Persona 3: Fes when it comes out April 22nd, it's only 30 bucks, and you're literally getting 100+ hours of gameplay. And it's one of those games that you can play a little bit at a time, and still not miss anything, so yeah. Buy it!
