2D Graphics

People point to Odin Sphere as a game that has awesome 2D graphics,. and it's graphics are great as long as you ignore the odd poses. The reason for this is because each limb of the body is its own sprite, but anyway, Odin Sphere isn't what I wanted to talk about.

There's a few videos floating around, just looking at Youtube there's this one. It's kind of nice, because at the beginning you can see the earlier sprites which are decent, but low-res, and then you can see the new ones. There's a better resolution video of it floating around the net somewhere, but I can't recall where. Insertcredit made a post about it a while back (and the new insertcredit is actually like, good, since most of the posters went to selectbutton), so I might try looking through their archives.
