My little experiment with Buffy: The Vampire Slayer (which sounds crude, now that I think about it) is nearly at an end, on Season 7 finally, and I figured I'd write some words about it. So far Season 7 has been a huge step up from Season 6, where there were only a handful of episodes I'd actually want to watch again. I think part of the reason Season 7 is a bit better is that I always love it when things seem really desperate, and it's done a good job of that so far. On the other hand, I kinda hate Whedon's theme of "everyone is actually a terrible person deep down inside, and can redeem themselves, despite being a murderer and potential serial rapist" (though, after writing that, I guess there's a good justaxposition between Spike (whom I like still) and Andrew (who I know ends up being redeemed, though I haven't gotten that far, and whom I still hate).

And I hadn't hated Dawn too much before Season 7, but now... ugh. Kinda like with Riley, he was alright in s4, but after that was just annoying.

Buffy hasn't annoyed me so far in Season 7 (I'm not that far into it though), I wanted pretty much every character to die in Season 6 though.

Who's your favorite character? My first guess is Giles, but I could be wrong there. I wish they'd give him something to do, but pretty much all the characters seem like they have no room to grow, without making them jerks.
