As it stands, cats are too fucking stupid to leave me any options besides "learn to live with it" and "murder the cats and fucking burn the ( Read more... )

Our cat only does that when she has a bladder problem (which happens with surprising frequency), because when it hurts to visit the litterbox, she tries going other places in the hopes of finding one that doesn't make her miserable.

Two. He's neutered, but she still has her parts. Litter box is clean when he pisses outside it (and at this point, he's the main witnessed perpetrator). She recently had a short bout of being in heat, but the last she showed any signs thereof was some three or four days ago, and he's still pissing and shitting on any number of things in the main condo room, as of about an hour before the top post.

Apple submits that he may be soaking the floors out of some sort of cat hissy fit since she's no longer in the condo most hours of the day, now that we have the coffee shop. Doesn't seem like the best way to get in our good graces, and even if it is the case it doesn't leave us any real solutions.

I have been told (but have not actually tried this yet) that cats do not like citrus things and that applying some sort of citrus-scented solution to places where you don't like them urinating is a fairly good deterrent.

Though there are also some carpet cleaning spray-type products that have somewhat similar effects.
