With some series ending this week (like the 2nd season of Psycho-Pass and Donten ni Warau), it's about time to look at the next anime season, right
( Read more... )
The season went by so fast! I just completed Psycho Pass 2 and, again, I found it good but not as good as the first season. In the end I was a bit disappointed with this season.
Sailor Moon Crystal's season was totally exciting! It's has such pretty animation and can't wait for season 2!
*Gasp!* Durarara 2! Awesome! I was just getting sad yesterday because I would have less anime to watch with all these seasons ending. BUT now of course that has changed!
Can't wait to see you next month! We'll have to a bit of anime watching if we can. ;)
Yeah, I'm totally looking forward to a bunch of continuing series. (I know a girl who is totally into Tokyo Ghoul... while I'm still in the "it's okay" camp. *nods*)
Hmm, I really liked the beginning of s2 of Psycho-Pass (I honestly had a lot of fun speculating through the first half of the season - and the voice actor file in my head totally lead me astray). I thought the ending was kind of rushed. I see how it ties into the movie (to be released in January) and would be necessary to set up before the movie. However, as a stand alone, I don't think the second season is as good as the first. I could see how it'd be difficult to write things into constraints of a world that has already been developed.
There's always a lot of good anime out there every season... it's just a matter of sifting through and finding the gems.
Gaaah I'm so late, and am finally looking at this XD;;
I also thought that The Rolling Girls and Koufuku Graffiti looked decent. I'm also curious about Yuri Kuma Arashi... (It's listed as shoujo ai on a couple of sites, which...intrigues me? IDK, slim pickings, I guess :P) And huh, that's really it, aside from sequels! O_o I guess I have to say I agree with you with this being the least promising bunch in a while...
I keep meaning to ask you, also... Do you think Tokyo Ghoul is worth me trying it again? Does that main character get less annoying and whiny? XD; I know you've said it's really popular, and I guess I just wonder if I'm missing something. I think I got through 3 episodes last time, and just...really wasn't into it. Hmm.
...I also still need to watch the end of Sword Art Online II XD; Did you make it to the end of that? I find myself stalling, ever since that first arc ended >_>
I will not finish Sword Art ;) That's pretty much all I need to hear, lol. I really liked that first arc, with Gun Gale Online, but then it seemed like it went right back to what I didn't like about it last season, when that arc ended. (I really can't stand that fantasy/quest part of the plot @_@) So...yeah, I will happily abandon it :P
I'll also think about giving Tokyo Ghoul another try when I have time (Jeremy will be away next week so... that may be a good opportunity?) - I am curious about it, just because of the popularity. *nod*
I'll look for Death Parade, too. I don't think it was on that original list...
