I do recommend giving Super Lovers a try. It's kind of complicated, so I can't imagine ANY synopsis that would completely encompass all of the intricacies between the MCs and their family unit, and it's definitely not some ~cutesy happy shota BL~ by any stretch of the imagination.

You still might not enjoy it, but I don't think it will quite match anything you may have seen it summarized as.

Thanks for the recommendation. I understand that a story may be more complicated than a few sentences can convey. I'll definitely give it a chance. (I was sort of worried it was the kind of series you said it's not, so, yay. =))

There's definitely aspects of it to approach cautiously--the MCs meet when one is 8 and the other is...16 or 18?, and then they reunite 6ish years later I think, and start a very strange relationship that is sometimes brotherly/familial, other times very definitely sexual/pre-sexual (as of the current canon, AFAIK they haven't had any penetrative sex, but they do move from simple kisses to more around age 15 for the younger one). But there's lots of conflict about age, their family status (they're adopted brothers who have spent very little time together before their reunion--only a few months total), and what each wants from the other (the younger one very vocally wants a romantic/sexual relationship, but the older one aches for a family/brothers), so it's complicated ( ... )

So of the ones you didn't list up there, I'm also curious about:

Endride - IDK, the premise doesn't appeal to me a lot, but it also doesn't turn me off, and it seems like it could be slashy? I like what I've seen of the character design, too, so... It's on my maybe list.

Flying Witch - I...like witches. And slide of life as a genre, so, I think I'll see how this is ;)

Kiznaiver - Another original. I'm sort of intrigued. Sounds like it could be an interesting sci-fi setting... Or it could end up to be just lots of fighting, in which case I probably won't stick with it very long.

But I agree about the slice of life series seeming interesting this season. (I even considered the one about motorcycles for a minute, but then I realized that with 3-4 other slice of life series on my list, I probably didn't need another :P)

I think I'm most curious about Mayoiga, Bungou Stray Dogs, and Joker Game :D Overall, there's a lot I'm interested in and...probably not enough time to watch everything XD;;; I'm excited though!

I also did think that Kiznaiver sounded a little interesting... just wasn't sure I had enough time for anything else. You'll let me know how it is? Or maybe we'll see what my schedule allows. =)
