It was the cutest thing today.

March is the month we talk about wind and clouds and such at the preschool, so today we read the kids this book Whoosh Goes the Wind at circle time. It's a funny little kids book about a student that's telling his teacher he's late to school because the wind was doing all these crazy things that he had to fix. It was ( Read more... )

Preschoolers can be an adorable little bunch. They also can be little hellions and I always seem to run into the little hellions.

Isn't that the way of it? Before I started teaching I didn't particularly like little kids because they were all crazy. Now I don't think the kids in my class are any less crazy than the ones I happened to run into before now, it's just they've won me over to their side with their cute art projects and spontaneous displays of affection. I think that's what I ended up liking best about this job: the kids are ever changeable but I never go home wishing I hadn't gone to work that day!

my cousins used be adorable / devils. Before they turned into unbearable brats due to my uncle spoiling the crap out of them and then wondering why they are horrible human beings.

That being said, the whoosh thing is utterly adorable!

I know what you mean. I have cousins that I absolutely adored when they were little but a combination of bad parenting and life crises has turned them into terrible kids. That and my job have definitely made me realize that kids are very malleable! It's all about promoting the cuteness and setting boundaries.

lol, it's still crazy windy here, now with some thunderstorms thrown in! The kids have gotten it into their head that winter and spring are fighting each other so that's why all the weather is crazy. When they walk in to class they tell me about the weather and who's winning that day. XD
