Meh, you work at your own pace. That's the beauty of fanfic, only as much pressure as you want. KMM is lovely and low pressure while I am completely insane and love to freak myself out with Festivals that have DEADLINES. I swear that one of these days I am gonna quit the fests but like every other junkie that ever lived, I never do it.
I can handle it, I am in control...yeah, right.
Don't feel bad about the pace you write at, your stuff is worth waiting on!
Anyways, I just find it crazy how fast time flies now. When I was younger I was SO aware of how much time would pass between increments of writing. But as I've gotten older and busier, two weeks can fly by and I'm blind sided! It's like "oh hot damn, if I don't update soon, people will think I've died! GOGOGO!" ... And you're right about the pressure thing. I'm used to short deadlines, so maybe my brain automatically looks at this as a bother and freaks out, even though I quite love writing fanfic. It's a wonderful escape, even if I write most of it in public places (Starbucks, airplane, etc), while looking fishy and awkward, haha.
Anyways, are there any fun festivals you'd best recommend?! I've never been part of a fanfiction community. I wrote fanfics when I was younger, but it was a much more individual act - though I always liked the idea of being a part of something
