Rosalie sat on the sidelines. She wasn’t here nor was she there. Thinking about what she was made her cringe, and she tried to pull her eyes away from him.

She was watching him dance. He swirled around the floor, and though she wasn’t in his arms, she felt as if they were the only two people in the room.

He wasn’t even looking at his dance partner. She knew his eyes were on Bella who swayed in Edward’s arms.

She longed for those eyes to look at her.

Emmett held out a giant hand and asked her to dance.

She pulled herself up effortlessly, and smiled at her husband. It was time to go on pretending. It was time to close off that part of herself that wasn’t--or was it?--tainted.

Mike wasn’t hers. He wasn’t even in her ballpark because she wasn’t playing. She was on the sidelines.

This is such an interesting ship. It raises plenty of cool questions, like why would Rosalie want Mike? But the way you handled it was very nice. :)

They are my new Twilight OTP. I've decided that (while I put myself on Jacob's side) the Edward vs. Jacob thing is pretty lame. We should all love Mike instead.

Annnd Rosalie is the only vampire with any sense.
