Here's more information about the exchange!
Rules:
1. Only participate if you're sure that you can stay committed to this exchange. There will be a last drop-out date, but dropping out is not encouraged. The mods however, will understand if you really have to, but please try not to drop-out if you can! We would also really appreciate it if you could inform us about your drop-out before so that we can contact our pinch hitters to prevent situations where a writer has no gift fic. :(
2. The minimum word count is 2000 words. Please do try to hit the 2000 word count though, it would be even better if you are able to exceed it! According to the schedule, 10 weeks are given for writing and we believe that, it is a sufficient amount of time for you to complete your fic. However, exceptions will be given if your fic happens to fall below the word count, but try to be as close to the word count as possible. Exceptions will not be given your fic has , say, 1500 words
3. Do not, do not reveal yourself anywhere No discussion of prompts openly on twitter or any social media, if we find you, we will hunt you down and set Jongin's three poodles after you. Kidding, but let's keep this exchange as fun and secretive as possible?
4.Try not to give prompts that are too vague or too detailed, as too much or too little information would limit the writer. If you're not sure how a prompt should look like, here is an example:
Prompt: Jongin and Yixing meet on the subway, they fall in love. Too vague
Prompt: harry potter au where Jongin is Harry Potter and he meets Yixing who is a Hufflepuff, and Yixing gets kidnapped by Voldemort. Voldemort threatens Jongin that if he takes the side of Hogwarts during the war, he will kill Yixing. Yixing ends up dying. Too detailed
Prompt: Jongin's friends think that he's addicted to fried chicken, but he really only orders it to see the delivery boy. Good to go!
Also, after assignments have been sent out, you have 2 days to contact the mods should you feel like you need a change of prompts because of reasons. Keep in mind that for you to change your assignment, someone has to change theirs too. It may cause inconvenience so please think carefully! OT3s including the both of them are also accepted. See: sekaixing, kailayhan etc.
5. If you have any questions regarding the prompts to ask your recipient, please inform the mods and we will direct the questions to them for you. You are not to directly contact your recipient under any circumstances.
6. All deadlines follow the PDT timezone, this is to allow writers to have more time, so we hope that you will all be on time! Remember to contact the mods if you feel like you need any extensions and we can discuss it.
7. Also, please note that all sign up forms are to be submitted through emails at kaixingforyoumods@gmail.com and please do fill in the subject of your email as follows; KAIXINGFORYOU APP FORM
