I really have been horrible about updating this, haven't I?
Well, the inevitable has happened. I am now a college graduate.
Honestly, I don't think it's struck me yet that this is the end, that I'm finally in the so-called "real" world now. I'm still in that "college student" mode, and I don't think I've fully realized that I won't be going back to Stockton.
Then again, it might not even be the end of my college career-- I'm actually thinking of going to graduate school and getting my master's in Library Science, but we'll see how that goes.
One of the most important things that's happened is that I'm starting to have second thoughts about my decision to be a teacher. I'm just not sure I'm cut out to be one, really-- librarian seems more my scene, and all of the people I've talked to about it have told me that they definitely see me more as a librarian than as a teacher.
I'm getting a head start on the job search, as well-- I don't want to be broke for an extended period of time like last year, especially since my parents are sort of expecting me to pay rent now that I've graduated. Strangely enough, I'm kinda looking forward to a temp job-- it'll give me a temporary cushion while I figure out just what the hell I'm going to be doing with my life. ^_^
Things have been going well, in any case. I've noticed that I've become more mature and willing to shoulder bigger responsibilities, but I'm still very much a kid at heart.
Here's hoping that aspect of me won't change, at least.
