i'm amazed over the subtle humor that is making itself known in early read-throughs of largo desolato. to me, the play read like a news caster, very crisp and stately. but putting all of the pauses in and really listening to what the characters have to say is an absolute riot. we had to stop every five minutes today in rehearsal as the cast

If you get a chance, see/read Rock 'N' Roll by Tom Stoppard. It is quite touching and beautifully written.

ooh, ya. i wish i could see in live, because i found the writing kind of dense. though the story was very good.

it's a discovery i've made this past year about theatre - language-based plays really aren't my thing.
