Some pictures from when I was working at Long Beach a few weeks ago (When there was the hurricane winds goin' down)
All these pictures on the beach are from the day before the storm hit, still really windy there on the beach and the waves looked friggin' crazy, but you can't really tell from the pictures.
After quickly jumping up onto a ledge when the waves came RUSHING up onto shore like a mofo.
Trying to look down the beach like I'm a crazy sea captain or something. Looks more like I'm saluting, but whatever.
This is the next day in Astoria when the storm started up, a bunch of those traffic signals ended up falling down, power lines were laying across trees and roads and stuff, and road signs were flying down the road throwing sparks in the air. The ridiculous amount of wind and rain was pretty cool and surreal, I was diggin' it. It was at least twice as bad as how much wind ended up hitting around Auburn and Kent.
(FYI the Goonies house is just a couple more blocks down the road on the right up the hill)
