what a waste, I should've done my homework before hand like I usually do. I had downloaded the supposed X86 iso to try and install it on my machines, as it turns out after I started doing research why the fucker wouldn't boot. I find out that it's a hoax and the hex read out is GNAA all the way down. WTF. Waste of space and waste of DVD. Lesson ( Read more... )

Yup. I've seen that dummy Mactel developer OS file passed around the web like wildfire. I'm not surprised though. Lots of people want to try loading and booting that DVD to see what it can and can't do.

I'm going to have to get serious about looking at the Xtools bundle I downloaded a couple of weeks ago. Haven't felt the urge to try building an app or other fun project for the Mac community.

I'm still learning, I started with Aaron Hillegass' Cocoa Programming for OS X and I was absolutley lost, I went out and got programming in objective-c and I can kind of jump back and forth now and get an understanding of it. I just haven't put as much time and effort as I would like. I love Xcode though, I used to program in C++ using borland's ide package, and as much as I like borland and C++ they have NOTHING on Cocoa and Xcode. Xcode 2.0 is very nice, the interface builder is awesome, i love it, beats the hell out of the windows editor on borland, because it's so hard to implement links between the two, and drawing windows in C++ is hard as shit, in Xcode it's much to easy to create a link between classes and methods with the interface. I've become a total mac nerd, I don't think I could go back to windows ever, I'm downloading Vista right now to play with it and see how it looks, but i doubt it could possibly convince me enough to go back to such a horrible system.
