Wow, I wish I had something insightful to say, but *ow*. Thought it was well done how what we already know (about WWII and abour Sam and Dean) are really woven together around each other to say something about both WWII and Sam and Dean.

There are lot of awesome lines in this fic, but this on stood out to me the most:
"No," Dean said, low and gravelly, "there is no good fight. There's just a shitty job that someone has to do."

to say something about both WWII and Sam and Dean.

Thank you--that's definitely what I strive for in an AU like this, and I'm glad it worked for you.

Hee, I try not to look at my comments after I post them, to avoid just those facepalm moments. Ignorance is bliss! *clicks post and runs away*

Oh, my god, that was just incredible. Amazing. I love the detail, I could feel/hear/see the war going on around them; could see the love flowing between them. It's perfect, just enough raw and aching combined with absolute love and devotion, and they'll go stateside when the War is over, and find a place and live together and BE together.

Love this, so so much. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful story with all of us.
