Post this in your profile if you remember these days . . . .
or if you smiled at one of these things. or if you smiled at one of these things
I so miss those times.
It was so great, reading all of those things. I'm glad my childhood was in those times.
But then again, I guess everyone thinks the same. As in, they all believe the period in which their childhood ocurred was more.. carefree. So much more than at present. Older generations probably thought the 90's were less innocent, and the future generation probably think the 00's will be more innocent than , say, in the 2040's.
GIRLY RANT.
I wince, looking at those videos. I mean, the videos themselves are funny. I don't have a problem with that at all. I have sort of led Monalisa and the rest to believe that I don't want them put up because they are embarassing.
In truth, I could care less. It makes me smile to be able to look back on when I was having a good time. This may sound utterly pathetic, but I just hate them because they remind me of my uglyness.
Really, I know that, if I put some serious effort into it, I could be passable. If I drank more water and ate healthier then my skin wouldn't be pockmarked with acne scars. If I wasn't so lazy as to just put my hair in a bun, and get a decent haircut, I would look ok. If I didn't gorge myself within every opportunity I wouldn't have a potbelly. If I didn't bite my nails out of idleness my long fingers might look gracefull. If I wasn't such a baby I could pluck my eyebrows regularly. I could shave the fuzz of my knuckles and moisturize my skin.
But of course, I do nothing of those things. So.. I dunno. I wish I wasn't so aware of it; when you aren't self concious, people somehow notice it, and stop caring if you have some sort of unnatractive feature.
But what can I do? Is not anyone's fault all my friends are good looking, or beautiful, or pretty, or handsome. Is strange; I don't feel the jealously bubbling up beneath the exterior like all those books say. Is only at night, sometimes every couple of months, that I start to reflect on the fact that, with so many beautiful and nice girls in the world, is not a wonder I haven't had a boyfriend.
I know. I'm sixteen; I haven't even lived the first quarter ( approx) of my life and I think I'm gonna crumble just because some boy hasn't wanted to shove his tongue down my throat. I'm not agonsing over having a boyfriend in itself. I just guess it's a bit of a downer on my self steem.
I was honestly surprised at Andra's comment. " You are the person whom has the least complexes out of all of the people I know" . If she knew how much time I spend fretting over my skin, and nose, and just everything in general. I know. She would just look at me, partly frustrated, and tell me I should just put make up on to hide the scars and get a haircut and just make an effort.
And it's true! is very hard to find natural beauty . But I dunno.. doing all of that would sort of .. make me a slave to it. I wouldn't mind putting some lipstick or lipgloss on, but having to spend minutes putting foundation every day ( which would just ruin my skin further) seems a bit pointless.
I know I don't give that vibe, either. The " I am your friend but could be a potential girlfriend as well". Is like I exude " I'm gonna be a friend. Full stop" . Not that it bothers me; I'll prefer being a guy's best friend than his gf atm. Well, ok, it;s just cause you will never miss what you have never had ^^;
GIRLY RANT OVER AND DONE.
RANT ABOUT MONALISA'S BROTHER.
Phew! Had to get that off my chest ^^ anyways, talk about surprises when Monalisa's brother just burst out at msn today " MARICAAA ME COMPRARON MI GUITARRA NUEVAA " xDD. I mean, I could count on the fingers of my hand how many conversations we have had. But I guess it's entirely plausible that he announced it to everybody; he was that excited. It was slightly endearing. Mostly because most of the times I have seen him he is quiet and sluggish. Not as in as a slug, but as in.. like he's almost draggng himself to somwhere. I think Flor also wondered why he was like that when in reality he appears to be very outspoken, and seems to have a hugeee load of friends. I'm thinking that, for my part at least, is because I have always talked to him out of either necessity or politeness, and every time I have tried a conversation with him I feel awkward, feeling I'm wasting his time. ( Quelle surprise) Or that I'm saying something really, really retarded. ( It scares me this happens with virtually anyone I don't know well ¬¬ and who, more explicitly, seems friendly) I sometimes feel guilty about not inviting him to my house when I invite isa, but let's be honest.. what would he do? play with joseph? If Juan was here I wouldn't have hesistated, but he is not.. so.. I don;t know. Maybe if we go to a movie I'll tell her to invite him. I just feel sorta guilty that we exclude him. I know we don;t knw him that well anyway but it must not be very nice knowing that your sister might go to somebody's house, that the person is your age, and that they don;t really consider you, even if you come from the same country. He's a good guy, and he is friendly, I have seen it.. I just guess we just have nothing really to do with each other. Monalisa is our only link, really. Well, jj was one too, I guess. But that was almost eons ago. Is strange, recalling some of the facts Jj told me. Mostly I never think about them when I actually meet him, but is quite strange to know some things about a person you have barely spoken about.
Take the fact that he thought at one moment he was gay for jj, for example. Somehow, I don't find that hard to believe. That's not because I think he is particularly gay, or something like that. But he seems to be able to feel affection for people easily; I can just imagine him, feeling all those intense feelings for his best friend, and confusing them with love. Or maybe not. Who knows? all Jj told me was that they had ended it because it had been too awkward. But I can really picture TFoC, putting his head in his hands or lying in his bed, thinking, fretting about whether the profound affection he felt for jj was so deep it had to be something more.
Maybe he did love JJ. But myabe it was the love you feel for your best friend. In the end, what is love? we love our families, so why can't we love our best friend? sometimes I think the only think that separates Lovers' love and Filial love is physical desire, which is absent in the later. But I haven't had a lover, so I wouldn't really know. That magic they describe in all the romance books can't be just to enhance the story. Maybe it is exagerated to a certain extent, but you can't exagerate something that doesn't exist.
There are also other things. Fr example, one day Jj told me TFoC's dad had hit him, but he didn;t know why. That really made me worry; his dad is not at all the kind of person that gets angry like that, so as Jj said, it must have been something pretty severe. But TFoC doesn't get into any sort of trouble either: he's almost like a little year 7, all clean and eager and carefree.
I would have liked to hear his part of the story, too. I mean, JJ was through, but there were also parts were I was there were certain holes that should have been filled by TFoC's side.
What in the seven names of hell are my neighbour's doing? I can hear their voices ( they are outside) from my house! And just now a couple of heavy bangs sounded. Weirdos O_O.
Anyways.. so yeah, I guess I'll stp ranting about him now. Is more than creepy. I really wish I didn't have this stupid feeling of wanting to take care of everyone. Is annoying, and gives people the wrong impression more often than not.
Bloody hell, I;m feeling guilty, AGAIN. Because I know all this. If they knew, both TFoC and Monalisa would be furious with me.
Well, TFoC reasons would be pretty obvious. I have no rights to know these things, as it;s his life, and he should be allowed to decide who is it that can know certain things, like these. I guess JJ told me because he needed to talk to somebody about TFoC; about when they were fighting, about when he was worried about him and, abve all, about when he missed him. I bet he couldn't do that with anyone else cause they had virtually the same friends, so..
And Monalisa might say whatever she wants to say about him, but she is fiercely protective about her brother. I remember when I decided to do one of my little tests: I think JJ had told her they had a fight or something, and then I mentioned casually " Ughh, Isa, would your brother mind if I took a pillow and beat some sense into him?" or something along the lines.
Isa didn;t laugh. Instead, she gave me something akin to a look of scorn when she snapped " Do you know him?"
" Uh.. no-"
" So?"
And I shut up, smiling a bit inside.
OK. RANT ABOUT MONALISA'S BROTHER DONE.
Maybe I better get to sleep.. ahh..
