Could you say that your dislike for the word "enigma" but your like for the word "enigmatic" is an enigma?

I've only heard "catalyst" in chem class, but class *so* made up for not hearing it outside of it. I still have nightmares of Organic Chem 1. *shiver*

I think the word I hear the most that is exceptionally annoying is "fabulous". Queer Eye for the Straight Guy comes on and every person, straight or homo, thinks they need to use it.

Finally, I don't like big words mostly b/c they confuse me. What's so wrong with using the same words all the time? I don't see the point in being able to say, "big" in 10 different ways.

Large, giant, huge, immense, great, enormous, whopping, etc. etc. etc. Just say big. It's ok. You can do it.
