Yes, yes, yes! And I'll try to bring Miss K down there for a visit. We are coming down in October, but it's likely to be another one of our weekend fly-bys, alas.

You know, there's that platitude about how there's never a good time to have a baby, but I'm starting to wonder if babies don't actively chose the crappiest, weirdest, most overloaded times. Like they're saying "Hey, mom and dad, I want to be sure you can cope with me, so let's see how you get through THIS!"

Thanks for posting this, I was planning to call you guys to ask whatever happened about your situation with Japan, since it was a few weeks past when you were supposed to find out. I'm sorry you're in limbo though.

Funny enough is that my parents are looking at houses in your general area--they are not going to move anytime soon but within 2 years I'd say. I'm also formulating a plan for myself that would, if it works out (IF! big if) would mean I'd be moving a bit closer to you, but further from your parents. The future is funny and we'll all see what it will bring.
